Fun at the Birds & Beyond Fair!

Quinnipiac Valley Audubon Society was happy to host a booth once again at the Birds and Beyond Fair! This family-friend event took place at New England Cider Company in Wallingford on Saturday, May 17th. New England Cider Company is a hard cider brewery that uses hand-crafted tools and fresh, local Connecticut apples in their brews, in a celebration of simplicity and traditional methods. Besides their delicious and unique cider flavors, they host fun events like this one year-round!

The weather was sunnier than expected, and we were happy to talk to about fifty people at our educational and engaging booth. Folks were especially interested in our Planting for Birds display, perhaps because it’s springtime — the perfect time to start a garden of native plants and flowers!

Our booth, “Planting for Birds and Pollinators,” at the Birds & Beyond Fair at New England Cider Company. Can you spot the eggs hidden for the event’s egg hunt? 🐣

We’re looking forward to hosting our own events throughout the year at Riverbound Farm Sanctuary and other local places, as well as being a part of community events like these! Check out our Events page and come see us this summer!
